QUILT OF BELONGING EXHIBITION COMING SOON!!

 Dear Friends of the Quilt of Belonging;

The Quilt of Belonging Board of Directors are pleased to be in touch with you after several years of challenges with Covid -19 and the tragic loss of Esther Bryan on July 30, 2022 to cancer.

We will treasure Esther forever in our hearts and know you will too.

Now it is time to bring you up to date on a few things. 

The Board appointed for 2022 to 2023 is comprised of Mackie Robertson (Chairman), Nancy Warwick-Kingdon (Secretary) Rod Kingdon (Treasurer) Penny Bateman, Anna Chiappa, Jane Rietze and Joanne High. 

All business needs, strategic planning and administration tasks are currently being handled by the Volunteer Board of Directors.

Now for some some exciting news!

Since its launch, the Quilt of Belonging has touched and warmed the hearts of individuals, diverse cultures and even classrooms of students around the world.

As we strive to find a permanent home for the Quilt of Belonging we felt it would be a great thing to have an exhibition right here where the project started some 25 years ago.!!!!

 

You are all invited to CELEBRATE the Quilt of Belonging on display!

Date: Friday June  09 -2023(reserved for school children & organized groups)

Date : Saturday June 10 -2023  9:00 am / 5:00 pm (open to the public)

Date : Sunday June 11-  2023    9:00 am / 5:00 pm (open to the public)

Location : The Meeting Place – Williamstown Fair Grounds Williamstown, Ontario

No admission charge but donations are appreciated to help with the cost of the event. (tax receipts will be available)

The Quilt of Belonging book will be available for purchase.  Be sure to get yours.
