Esther Bryan
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Esther Bryan, conceptual artist, designer and coordinator of the Quilt of Belonging, on Saturday, July 30, 2022. Her funeral is to be held on Friday, August 5th at 11:00 am at Old Stone Church, St.Andrew’s Presbyterian in South Lancaster.
It is with very deep sadness that I learned this morning of Esther’s passing last night.
She was my friend.
She was a dynamo that worked tirelessly on whatever project she had undertaken. She was an incredible artiste in many fields. Her genius and creativity always surprised me and often left me breathless.
She loved her garden, her music, her art, and all children. She had a phenomenal way of teaching children and reaching right down to their level. On rare occasions her frailty would peek through as she would seek reassurance that her effort and work were being appreciated and approved by those around her.
Esther was an incredible ‘one-of-a-kind’ woman, the likes of which I will never meet again.
Gone from my view and my touch, but forever in my heart. I will miss her here on earth, but with the promise and trust that we will see each other once again in Heaven.
She was my friend.

You inspired me in so many ways. Thank you, Esther for sharing so much love and compassion. My condolence to friends and family.
So sad to read that Esther has passed. She will be missed by all of us who worked with her on this quilt, her family and the community that she so dearly loved. Her vibrancy and joy was always present in everything she did and her captivating smile was always engaging. Enjoying meals in her kitchen, chatting about art, listening to Gary’s beautiful record collection are beautiful memories which we will all cherish as we cannot give Esther that hug up close and personal. She was a very special women that doesn’t cross our paths very often and we are all grateful for the moments we shared. There were never enough of them, but I remain truly thankful for the times we shared.
It’s sad that such a famous person like Esther Bryan, has left us all to be in a better place.
As soon as I heard about Esther and her” Quilt of Belonging “ my dream was to meet her in person. Now, I just can see her in pictures.
“ What a creative mind”.
My heartfelt condolences to her family
We all can remember her, in her QUILT .
