Musée des Abénakis to Host Quilt

Esther Bryan

On May 11, Quilt of Belonging will begin a 5-month exhibition at a special First Nation museum, Musée des Abenakis. Located in Odanak, near Trois-Rivières and Sorel, 45 minutes from Montreal, this is “the first native museum in Quebec since 1962”.

Recently, a state-of-the art gallery was added to the older museum and it is in this spacious new facility that the Quilt will be displayed. This museum and exhibit will make a delightful travel stop or easy day in the country drive. The facility is bilingual, the staff welcoming and visitors are in for a treat.
